Georges Braque exhibition

One hundred and fifty works by the painter Georges Braque are currently on display at the Galerie Art Cadre in Paris. This is the artist’s fourth period, entitled "The Metamorphoses". In 1961, at the age of 80, Georges Braque decided to transform a hundred essential works into lithographs, tapestries, sculptures and jewellery. The commentary on Braque’s exhibited works and archives during the inauguration of his exhibition at the Louvre in 1961 alternates with the interview with Armand ISRAEL, Braque’s expert and right-holder. According to him, "We can say that Braque invented derivatives".
