Wittelsheim: arrival of the first truck in StocaMine
In Wittelsheim, the first shipment of waste arrived at StocaMine, an underground storage site for toxic industrial waste in a former abandoned mine of the Potash Mines of Alsace. It is brine containing cyanide. French and German demonstrators welcomed these shipments. The strict control procedure prior to landfilling should prevent any problems.
