The success of the paperback 50 years after its creation
Created by Henri Filipacchi in 1953, the Pocket Book collection celebrates its 50th anniversary. Hachette was followed by the largest publishing houses, which also have their own pocket format, with the exception of the José Corti editions, as René Caprioli, director of the Maupetit bookshop in Marseille, reminds us. A reader is filling up on the novelties published in her pocket and another explains the reasons for her preference for this format. Its reissue in pocket collection, one year after its first publication, is a second chance for a book.
