In Châtellerault, the company Aigle Hutchinson specialized in riding shoes and boots or rain leather is now developing a range of products in slush that is to say in rubber imitation leather allowing to produce quality products for a great price lower than for leather boots. Thanks to the slush, Aigle has become the market leader despite the competition from the Japanese. In this way, it exports stuffed boots to the Scandinavian countries, the United States, the USSR and Australia and diversifies by offering handlebars and shoe covers for the nuclear industry. Explanations of the designer and model maker Duilio CANCIANI and Jean FORTIN, director of Aigle Hutchinson and images of the boots manufacturing.
