In Lorraine, a former iron mine is taking over a new geothermal activity. Water at 12 degrees is recovered and re-injected into the city network. In Fontoy, the city invested in capturing groundwater from an old iron mine, closed more than 60 years ago. The buildings are heated by geothermal energy. Interview with the mayor who explains that the energy is provided by a lake. According to a member of ADEME, the Environment and Energy Management Agency, this potential is unknown. It took 20 years for the engineers to develop the Soulz sous Forêts power plant.
