The R16 built from parts made in all Renault factories
The director of the Renault plant in Sandouville explains why the company chose this location to build its new assembly plant. The journalist lists the manufacturing locations of all the parts of the R16 that will be assembled in the Sandouville factory: the sheet metal parts and chrome accessories come from the Flins factory, the engines and gearboxes are manufactured in Cléon from elements machined in Billancourt and Orléans, the Le Mans plant takes care of the axles and paints, the torsion bars are manufactured in Billancourt Images of workers and machine tools on assembly lines illustrate the point.
