L'équipe de France de rugby rencontre l'Irlande dans le cadre du tournoi des 6 Nations. A cette occasion, Dimitri Yachvili est sélectionné au poste de demi de mêlée à la place de Galtier. Fabien Pelous, lui, devient capitaine. Lors d'un entrainement, témoignage de l'entraîneur Bernard Laporte qui loue les qualités du joueur. Interview de Dimitri Yachvili qui explique : "Fabien c'est un joueur d'expérience déjà, puis c'est un modèle dans le poste (...), maintenant c'est à moi de rendre ma copie". Fabien Pelous évoque son capitanat : "Je vais surtout bien préparer mon match à moi et donner l'exemple sur le terrain...".
