At the end of a meeting of the General Council of Loire-Atlantique devoted to regionalization, Olivier Guichard, Minister of Equipment and Mayor of La Baule, pronounces himself for the "enlarged" Brittany region. His position was to defend the central position of the Nantes-Saint Nazaire metropolis, but he did not plead for the Loire Atlantique to be attached to Brittany.
