At the end of 20 years of union struggles, the decree of 23 February 1988 offers women farmers the same help for installation and the same rights as men. The first woman in France to benefit from the new status of women farmers is a 22-year-old Tarnaise woman, Véronique AUREL. Interviews of the young woman with her husband in the vineyards, and of Simone BRU (CNJA), alternating with images of the handing over of the cheque of the DJA (Young farmer endowment) by François GUILLAUME.
