The 36-year-old mathematician Cédric VILLANI won the FIELDS medal, often presented as the Nobel in mathematics. Awarded for his work on the depreciation of Landau and Boltzmann’s equations, he now heads the Henri POINCARE Institute in Paris, dedicated to welcoming and meeting French and foreign researchers.
