The frescoes of Lascaux II (facsimile of the Lascaux cave) seem to suffer from depigmentation in places. This open copy in 1983 was partially restored in 1993. The right-wing opposition to the General Council has addressed this problem It is expected that the site will be closed from the end of November to the end of February over a period of 6 years.
