From the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, perched on a platform installed for the occasion, Arnold PALMER, the famous American professional golf player tried to send at least one of his four balls beyond 350 meters on the esplanade of the Champ de Mars. The bad weather conditions thwarted the power of his swings, limiting him to a more modest performance of 253 meters, under the eye and the objectives of the many journalists who came to immortalize this unusual moment.
