The mayor of Paris, Jacques CHIRAC, presented this morning the model of the project of development of the new station Montparnasse which will host the TGV Atlantique and will put Bordeaux at three hours from Paris. The railway tracks will be covered with a 3.5 hectare garden slab and the existing hall will be enlarged by the opening of a glass roof. The project also includes a second hall under the slab and a 70,000 m2 office and commercial complex.
