A new PRES, Pôle de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur was born yesterday in Orsay. Universud will bring together the universities of Paris XI and Versailles Saint Quentin and the École normale supérieure de Cachan. It will have 50,000 students and 160 research laboratories.
