A woman, Marie, who runs a drugstore in Marseille in a low-cost housing estate and has lived there for ten years with her husband and her fifteen-year-old son, says her love for the children of the cities who are as gifted as the children elsewhere but who are abandoned to them-even and fall into the teens into drugs or banditry. "We make them the thugs, we give them all the elements to become them," she says.
