In France, one in eight children becomes obese. This is one of the concerns expressed by the participants of the international congress that has just ended in Paris. For all these young people, diets and treatments are most often doomed to failure. This is why medical centers welcome them during a whole school year. Example with the school of birds, in Sanary-les-Bains in the Var. It welcomes a hundred obese children. Here, the residents find a family and strict food rules as explained by Doctor Danièle SOULIE, head doctor of the Bird Center.
