Air France has just taken control of the majority of French air transport. By acquiring 55% of the private company UTA, it recovers lines to Asia and Africa. Already a leader on scheduled international routes, it takes the advantage over domestic air traffic by recovering the shares of Air Inter formerly held by UTA, which add to the 37% it already owned. Regarding the economic sector of charters, the airline Aeromaritime, subsidiary of UTA returns to the fold of Air France. These purchases amount to CHF 4 billion. The government is pleased to see the birth of such a national company in a very competitive market.
