Air transport: creation of Skyteam

Four airlines have signed an alliance: Korean Air, Aeromexico have joined Air France and Delta Airlines in the Skyteam alliance. With 6,400 daily flights and 174 million passengers per year, the group becomes the third largest in the world, on par with the KLM and Northwest alliance. The president of Air France, Jean Cyril SPINETTA, explains that this multiplies destinations and facilitates connections for travelers. Since 1997, the number of airline mergers has increased in order to reduce costs. Alain CROUZAT, analyst at Richelieu Finances, details the economic benefits that this alliance will generate for airlines.
