Michel Rocard, interviewed live from the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris, expresses his enthusiasm for having been elected senator of the Yvelines and to be thus a "little new" in the senate. He wishes to take advantage of his mandate in this "calm and serene assembly where we have time to reflect" to advance the subjects that are important to him. By remaining an MEP, he intends to establish a bridge between the European debates and the French Parliament.
