The parents' house of the Institut Curie in Paris

The parents' house of the Institut Curie in Paris

In 1988, the idea was born to create a "parents' house" next to the Curie Institute where children are hospitalized. A former hotel was purchased and completely renovated thanks to private financing. Families can meet to share a meal, spend time with their children. Françoise ROSEBLATT, the director of this shelter, and Mireille VIANELLO, mother of a sick child, confirm the importance of solidarity and the moral support of parents among themselves. The price of housing is relatively low and calculated on the basis of income.
