Le cinéma UGC Ciné-Cité des Halles est le premier multiplex qui s'est ouvert à Paris, en 1995. Il a repris l'espace laissé par la fermeture du Parc océanique Cousteau en 1992. Interview d'Antoine Cabot, directeur de l'UGC Ciné Cité Les Halles, qui explique la particularité de cet emplacement, qui n'était pas destiné à être un cinéma, "... c'est la raison pour laquelle le cinéma a cette impression de niche, de salles qui sont imbriquées dans un bâtiment...".
