At the court of Evreux, Jean-Christophe Chazalette, president of the court of assizes, is preparing to draw lots of jurors who will be brought to pronounce themselves during a trial for mortal blows. For him, the presence of jurors is part of the judicial DNA: "it is good that we are not all alone in a completely judicial self". He then proceeded to draw the jury, who, at the call of their name, rose to take place alongside the magistrates. They then take an oath.
