The journalist traces the biography of Jiang Qing, the wife of Mao Tse Toung, from a montage of photographs, on the occasion of his trial in the People’s Republic of China with three other leaders of the "Gang of 4". Born in 1914 in a poor family, she fled with her mother a violent father. After her studies, she arrived in Shanghai at the age of 21 and began working for the Chinese Communist Party. In 1937 she joined Mao Tse Tung who hired her as archivist. Noticed by his revolutionary zeal and elegance, Mao decided to marry him in 1940. She is very involved in the "Cultural Revolution". Ambitious, she became the leader of the "gang of four". She could face the death penalty or life imprisonment.
