Interrogée par Michel Field, la styliste britannique Vivienne Westwood parle (en anglais, traduction off) de son intérêt pour la mode du passé, dont elle tente de s'inspirer. Elle fait l'éloge de la finesse et de l'élégance des gens du passé qui "avaient le mépris de l'opinion publique... ils étaient complètement fous dans leur façon de s'habiller...". Elle déplore l'attitude actuelle des gens, qui craignent d'être mieux habillés que les autres, alors qu'auparavant ils voulaient acheter ce qu'il y avait de mieux. Elle conclut : "... le plus affreux, c'est qu'à l'heure actuelle, le bien est l'ennemi du mieux".
