The fashion house Yves Saint Laurent merges with the Elf-Sanofi group, a subsidiary of Elf Aquitaine Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent have chosen a French buyer for 15% of the company’s capital. The sewing sector remains in the hands of its managers, unlike the perfumery sector. The merger makes the group the 3rd largest in the perfume sector internationally. The images of parades and press conferences are punctuated by statements to the press by Jean François DCHECQ, CEO of Elf Sanofi and Pierre BERGÉ, CEO of Yves Saint Laurent.
