OJ 1984: Sarajevo, city of contrasts
Reporting in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the six republics of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, where the Olympic Winter Games are in preparation, the mascot of the games is already displayed in front of many shops in the city. The city is already famous for another historic event, the bombing of the Archduke of Austria in June 1914, which triggered the First World War. It is divided in two: on one side, to the west, the modern and Olympic city and on the east, the old city, legacy of the Turkish occupation. Interview with Jean BERANGER, director of the French team on the particular climate of Sarajevo.
