Michel Barnier: MP at 27

Portrait of the youngest member of the National Assembly: Michel BARNIER, elected RPR of the 2nd constituency of Savoie. At 22, he was already the youngest regional councillor in France. The journalist follows his first steps in the National Assembly, during a photo booth for the registration formalities, before finding him in a meeting with his collaborators in his headquarters in Albertville. His secretary is none other than his mother. Interviewed, Mrs BARNIER is not surprised by his election: "he has been interested in politics for 14 years". When asked about the journalist, she said she had a hard time situating herself politically, but was not in the RPR.
