Jean Jacques Beineix: how to translate passion into cinema?

Interviewed by Noël MAMERE, Jean-Jacques BEINEIX first became interested in passion in the book by Philippe DJAN. He is passionate about literature. He evokes the imaginary and tries as a filmmaker to realize this tour de force which consists in ensuring "that the images remain open to the daydream of the spectator". France ROCHE underlines love and how this love is transformed in the film. A rather common love turns into a fire and their love becomes a real tragedy.
