Chile: the political situation after the 1973 coup d'état
En 1973, au Chili, juste après le coup d'Etat du général Pinochet, les partis politiques qui soutenaient l'unité populaire de l'ancien président Allende sont devenus hors-la-loi. Tout opposant est considéré comme un communiste. La presse de droite "El Mercurio", "La Prensa", "La Tribuna" est à la devanture des kiosques. La constitution, de tradition démocratique, va être modifiée. Le journaliste Jacques Segui évoque cette constitution et la devise patriotique du pays : "Par la raison ou par la force".
