The New Independent States claim Soviet troops stationed on their soil. In Kiev, while the Ukrainian army began to swear loyalty to its troops, the Russian soldiers prepare for departure and return to Moscow. Some have chosen to join the new Ukrainian army. In a barracks ceremony of departure of Russian soldiers accompanied by words of farewell of Russian and Ukrainian soldiers.
