RTF Director Raymond Janot and telescopist discuss "121 Manifesto"

Raymond JANOT, director of the RTF, reacts to the comments of Madame LAIGRE, viewer, about the "Manifesto of 121". Unlike Madame LAIGRE, who finds it abnormal to ban artists who signed the manifesto from broadcasting, Raymond JANOT finds that this government measure is justified and does not pose a problem of conscience. The Manifesto of 121 is a petition in favor of the immediate cessation of fighting in Algeria signed by illustrious personalities. The televised editors were instructed not to talk about the manifesto or the people who had signed it, nor to mention their works or even to broadcast them on the air. This provoked protests or strikes within the RTF even by people who had not signed or not supporting the signatories.
