La Cour européenne de Justice a rendu son verdict dans le litige qui opposait le footballeur belge Jean-Marc Bosman à son ancien club de Liège. Les 2 principales décisions étant que maintenant, un joueur est totalement libre à la fin de son contrat (aucune indemnité de transfert ne peut être demandée par l'ancien club) et qu'il ne peut plus y avoir de limitation du nombre de joueurs étrangers dans un club national.
