Asked by David PUJADAS about his relationship to money, the President of the French Republic Nicolas SARKOZY says: "I distrust as much people who idolize money as people who hate it... it is an unhealthy relationship", "money is not an end in itself it is a means". For him, every family tries to climb the social ladder. He says that if he "had been a man of money, he would have made a career other than to engage in political life"
