The writer and playwright Florian ZELLER speaks of writing as an act that confronts its limits, to itself. He admits to having been discouraged from writing several times. In particular, he recalled that he could not write for a year and a half after the birth of his child. He digression on the name of his son: "Roman" echoes both writing and filmmaker R Polanski. "Going through long periods like this without writing is a pretty impressive dizziness". He explains how to overcome these difficulties with hope, questioning and desire. "Writing is really about desire", especially for the theatre where you write for someone. "It’s a way of being pulled out of yourself."
