Elle détaille en quoi cette journée se distingue du 1er mai , fête du travail rémunéré, contrairement aux tâches ménagères et à l'éducation des enfants.
Le président de la république , François Mitterrand, a répondu favorablement à l'instauration de cette journée dite de la femme.
