Testimonies of former volunteers of the International Brigades. During the Spanish War, these combat units brought together about 40,000 people of 53 different nationalities against a common enemy, fascism, in 1936. Henri Rol Tangy, Lise London and André Piéplu tell how and why volunteers went to Spain to fight with the Republicans in Spain, even if it meant losing their lives in the name of Freedom.
