The Advent calendar counting the days from December until the 24th has become a tradition in France. Investigation in Alsace on the probable origin of the Advent calendar with the interview of Jeanne Loesch. According to her it is a mother who has made 24 cupcakes to teach her children to count while waiting for Christmas.
