In the National Assembly, Simone VEIL, Minister of Health, answers a question concerning the suppression of the smallpox vaccine. She says that this suppression can only be considered when there has been a "true eradication of the disease". She also mentioned the possibility of strengthening some vaccinations, especially among girls. She concludes by saying that "it is not a question of putting an end to compulsory vaccinations, but rather of strengthening others and adapting the situation to medical progress"...
