One of the men accused of beating Julia Boyer, a transgender woman, was sentenced today to six months in prison. Julia and her lawyer wanted to make this trial a symbol against violence against transgender people. Julia BOYER believes that "Justice has done its job in this case". Etienne DESHOULIERS, his lawyer, declares that this is "a historic step forward".
