Controversy over preachers in the Muslim salon
The third edition of the Val d'Oise Muslim Fair was held at the Pontoise Exhibition Centre. But some preachers invited to speak in the gallery of the salon provoked controversy. Some of their comments on the internet are in question. The laicity observatory in the Val d'Oise alerted the president. Interviewed Laurence MARCHAND-TAILLADE, President of the Laicity Observatory of Val d'Oise, said: "Today what we have asked either that these preachers do not have the floor, this is what we asked the prefect of Val d'Oise, or that they revise their remarks, we do not wish there to be abuses in the department...". Interview with Abder ROCAB, co-organizer of the Muslim Salon of Val d'Oise who explains: "We are not going to choose today people who are in a French black-list, these people are not blacklisted by the Ministry of the Interior...". Interview with Yannick BLANC, prefect of Val d'Oise: "Meetings are not prohibited unless there is a clear risk to public order and this is not the case here...".
