In 2008, many urban renovation projects were put on hold, as in Champigny sur Marne, in the Bois l'Abbé district. Urban renewal is planned, it is necessary to open the neighborhood, restore all the buildings or even rebuild them. The project cost 300 million euros, 120 of which had to be financed by the ANRU (Urban Renewal Agency), which will eventually give only 40 million. The residents of the neighborhood decided to sign a petition.
