Michel Polnareff about his father’s childhood demands
In duplex of Los Angeles, Michel POLNAREFF (colorful hairstyle), on the occasion of the release of his last album, is interviewed from Paris by Laurent DELAHOUSSE, and evokes the demand, sometimes violent, that his father had towards him regarding the learning of the piano: "Should I blame my father for treating me like a slave to classical musicians?... It’s true that 10 hours of piano a day is really a lot... I don’t blame him for the piano lessons but the belt strokes every time I made a wrong note... But I forgave him in my head..."
