The city of Palermo was completely transformed after the war and its area tripled in just 10 years. New neighborhoods have emerged with many buildings. Juliana SELADRINO explains in French that the mafia found here a new market with real estate speculation. This led to a bloody struggle between different clans that resulted in 50 homicides in 56 days in the 1960s - 62.
