Anniversary of the death of General De Gaulle: visit to Colombey-les-deux-Eglises
On the occasion of the commemorations of the 40th anniversary of the death of Charles de Gaulle, many visitors are on pilgrimage to Colombey the two Churches. They discover the property of the Boisserie, where the general had settled in 1934 and where he died. A retired man, Maurice BOUMENDIL, explains why he loves General de Gaulle. Another retired man, Jean CAVY, describes the general "a straight and honest man". René PIOT, a former farmer who became a souvenir dealer, explains that he was the last person to see the general before his death at La Boisserie. Marcial DAVIGNON, a municipal employee, states that the Gaulle marked his century.
