Solidarnosc and the church

Report on the Church’s involvement in the resistance process in Poland, while the Polish workers of Lenin’s shipyards in Gdansk have been on strike under the Solidarnosc flag since August 1988. On August 28, the celebration of mass by Father YANKOWSKI led the militia to grid the district of the Church of Saint Bridget. Mass for the homeland, call for struggle and resistance, Father YANKOWSKI does not fear the mix of genres and parishioners, wearing T shirts or armbands of Solidarnosc, are as much militants as faithful On the way out, there are many of them, with Father YANKOWSKI, chanting "Solidarnosc" by making the V of victory. On September 1st in NOWAHUTHA, the Polish youth arrive at the church to celebrate the mass of the new school year.
