Roger Gaspard: the nationalization of EDF and major projects
Roger BASPARD, Director General of EDF, talks about the consequences of EDF’s nationalization on research in the fields of new energy sources, particularly nuclear energy. 'One of the great advantages of nationalization is that it has enabled research programmes to be concentrated and relatively large sums of money to be spent on it,' he said. In partnership with the Atomic Energy Commission for natural uranium, EDF is developing industrial facilities in Marcoule and Chinon.
