Departure of the Germans from Paris on August 19, 1944

On August 19, 1944, the Germans began to leave Paris. Their vehicles depart from the Place de l'Opéra, descend the Champs Elysées, pass through the Place de la Madeleine. The avenues of the capital are empty. The first shots burst. Posters are flourishing on the walls, calling for participation in the fight against invaders and general mobilization, while pro-visionary and German posters are torn. Images filmed by a team of Resistance filmmakers.
