A retrospective based on an archive of Ebola virus outbreaks, after its reappearance in Kikwit, Zaire. First appeared in 1976 near the Ebola River, the virus claimed 280 lives. In 1989, in Washington, laboratory monkeys had been infected but the virus had been eradicated thanks to the intervention of the army. Comment on photographs, archive images and factual images.
