The Shah of Iran refutes any possibility of protest in its country
Interview with the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza PAHLAVI, by French journalists questioning him on the possible emergence of opposition forces in the country. Visibly nervous, the shah recalls that he does not accept the slightest betrayal. For him, the real threat would come from Marxism. As for the religious opposition, he describes it as little "serious" and considers that the values advocated by this movement would result in a "return to the Middle Ages".
