During the third debate of the Republican primary, David PUJADAS questioned Nicolas SARKOZY about the possible financing of his 2007 presidential campaign by Libya, as claimed the controversial intermediary Ziad TAKIEDDINE to the justice. The former President of the Republic then replied sharply "What indignity! Aren’t you ashamed to echo a man who’s been in prison? Who has been convicted countless times for defamation and who is a liar? That’s not my idea of public service. It is a shame"
